Tēnā koe, ko Tukara Matthews ahau. I’m a freelance designer, illustrator, and creative from Tauranga moana.
 

I have been creatively transforming businesses and organizations for nearly 20 years, drawing on my experience as an in-house, agency, and freelance designer. By blending this expertise with my understanding of te ao Māori, our cultural designs and tohu, I create authentic Māori design solutions that truly resonate with their audiences.

 
Almost all of my design work comes from repeat clients and referrals—a testament to the trust and strong relationships I build with those I work with. I take pride in creating designs that not only meet but exceed expectations, ensuring they are meaningful, culturally authentic, and strategically effective.
